Between the last number of the evening when we all sing together in two tutti numbers...
and the morning warm up...
...there is a lot of singing, working and eating - just what all singers like to do - especially eating. The meal times together give us a chance to hear about the choral programs which the students are in. Here's a scrapbook of the day we spent with five wonderful groups from Darien High School ( our hosts,) Fairfield- Ludlowe High School, New Canaan High School, Danbury High School and Saugus High School in Massachusetts. Thanks to the participation of the group who came 4 hours from Massachusetts, this is now a regional festival! Everybody worked very hard.
Just as it's going to be a beautiful weekend in New York, we'll leave for Atlanta - where it will no doubt be beautiful as well.
After a good day, we say goodbye...Thanks to Chris Andrade at Darien High School for organizing it all, and to Darien High School for hosting, and all the choir directors and choirs who participated so energetically.
