Michael seemed happy after we speeded it up a bit, and congratulated us on our accomplishment with the language - which he acknowledged is very complicated. He talked a little about the song, which he had first heard as a child, and how evocative it is of regular people in l9th century Ireland. We had seen Michael and his wife Lucy - and many members of his group, Anuna, when we were in Ireland for the first time last summer. That was a great trip, and we can't wait to go back. But we digress... tomorrow we'll be back at it here in San Francisco with our 416 new friends, and soon the orchestra and Frederica Von Stade.
