March: the day before the National Youth Choral festival starts!

You can never work enough on languages. Here we're still working on Chou Nu Er Y by Yi-Wen Chang which we will sing with all the student singers on Monday night. We were lucky to have mezzo soprano Zheng Cao (famous among other things for her recent creation of the title role in "The Bonesetter's Daughter" at the San Francisco Opera) come and speak the Chinese text and listen to us sing it. She will do the same for all 428 of us on Saturday. (Chou Nu Er was the winner of our last Student Composer Competition.)
