March: Focus on Education - Ben's week in Southern California

Ben wraps up his week to the south of us.  Meanwhile the ensemble is at the Western Division ACDA converence in sunny Tuscon.  More on that soon.  Ben writes:

My education mini-tour of Southern California and the Central Coast this week was a great success!  After visiting La Puente on Monday, I went to University High School in Irvine on Tuesday, drove to the San Luis Obispo area on Wednesday for a full day of workshops with Templeton and Paso Robles High Schools (both participating in the National Festival this month), and finished yesterday with a visit to Morrow Bay High School.  This is the season of high school festivals, so all of these choral groups are in festival preparation mode.

With all said and done, I had the privilege of working with about 200 students, 5 schools, 10 teachers, and 17 pieces of music in the span of four days.
